Studio GLUE was commissioned by Ripple, a green energy provider, to design a brand identity for the company. It’s the first crowd-funded wind turbine in the UK history.
Ripple offers consumers the opportunity to own and share a wind farm to power their renewable energy at low cost. Energy users have the collective ownership over the wind farm, instead monopoly by big energy companies. The wind farm is powered by onshore wind to provide a cost effective source of electricity.
We came up with the “infinity wave” as a concept to signify strength and the harnessing of wind for energy. The purple and green colours are inspired by the Scottish thistle, as Ripple’s first wind turbine is debuted launched in Scotland.
