Story Of Books is the imprint of Studio GLUE. It is a journal on books, pop culture, visual culture and the art of storytelling, first established in 2012. Initially, it was created to support our London Design Festival event in 2011 on book technology. The name originated from the Twitter hashtag used to promote the event.

The imprint publishes a non-fiction photobook series, After The Rain, on sustainability and the human ecology, and a fictional series, The Constant Companion Tales, comprising serialised e-books on Amazon Kindle and serialised paperbacks.

Story Of Books was relaunched by Studio GLUE in April 2018 during the London Book Fair. As the imprint of Studio GLUE, it covers topics surrounding creativity: storytelling, graphic design, illustration, themes and the making of books.

The interviews, Five Minutes With, are formatted in a simple and yet well-researched Q&A structure. Book News is a departure from journalese.

Salina Christmas, Editor, Story Of Books, who is responsible for the content direction, employs a speech act more conversational in tone, which lends to Story Of Books’ distinctive voice.

This tone of voice and the distinctive creative direction provided by Zarina Holmes (MA Design) contributed to Studio GLUE’s award win in the Best Creative / Startup category of the London Borough Hammersmith & Fulham (BHF) Brilliant Business Awards 2018.

Its first print publication, After The Rain, was launched during HF Artsfest London on 8 June 2019.

The strapline for Story Of Books is “culture you enjoy”.
