Award-winning UK podcast, The Future of Skills, join forces with Studio GLUE’s publishing brand, Story Of Books, launched a YouTube channel series titled, “How to read a book today.” The podcast series is produced for The Future of Skills book club community, looking at reading activity through material culture and social science perspectives.
In 2024, UNESCO reported that only 49% of teenagers globally have basic reading comprehension. In the same year, OECD reported on the decline in literacy and numerical skills among adults.
The topics complement The Future of Skills founder Nadya Birca’s author interviews on future-facing topics. The collaborative project aims to bridge dialogues and ideas exchange between UK-European and Asia Pacific readers.
